LBR: Testing Update, Working this weekend, Need a trailer
Testing went well in Barstow. Tom Morris is the Shock Master, and he
tuned the new Bilstein shocks with the monster 28mm shafts to ride
like a Lexus through Barstow’s big whoops – We punished the truck and
our newly heat-treated uprights did not bend!
There is still a lot to do to get ready for San Felipe, including
pulling the front shocks apart one more time to change some internal
hardware. We will meet at the shop at 8AM Saturday to pull the front
shocks, load the tool bags, pit boxes, spare parts bins, etc. We also
need to put the spare rear end together and program the GPS, etc.
We’ve got 2 houses reserved in San Felipe and space on the floor for
2 more people, so if you long for fish tacos and cold cervexas by the
sea, or breakfast at El Toro II with the smell of race gas in the air,
come on down.
We also need to borrow or rent an open car trailer for San Felipe, as
our new one won’t be done on time. If you have one you’d be willing
to loan/rent, or know someone who does, please let me know ASAP.
Thanks for your commitment to our team!
